Rules
The object of Blackjack is to beat the dealer’s hand but not exceed the sum of 21. No matter how many players are at the table, you will always face the dealer. The most important thing about the final result of the bet is the total sum of the cards compared to the total sum of the dealer’s cards.
If the dealer is 17 or older, they have to stand. If they have 16 or less, or a soft 17 (a hand with an ace), you will have to hit more cards until the total is 17 or more. A player can win with a number card, but if he exceeds 21, he will lose even if the dealer also loses. Whoever gets closer to 21 without reaching it will win.
In Blackjack, all number cards have the value that appears on them, for example, a seven is a seven and a two is a two. All face cards are worth 10, such as Jack, Queen, and King. An ace is worth 1 or 11.
Gambling
There are different types of online Blackjack bets that are important and you should know to increase your chances of winning more money. You can split the hand if you draw two cards of the same numerical value. For example, if you have two 3s, instead of playing a single 6-value hand, you can divide your hand by the same value as the original bet and start two new 3-value hands each.
You can also fold your hand. This means that you can double your bet based on the current hand. If you have a 5 and a 6 with a total of 11, you can double down and if you have a face card you will have reached 21. When you double, you can only play one more card. If you have an ace, you will have 12 and you just have to wait for the dealer to lose.
Tricks Splitting
If you want to win at Blackjack, be patient. Remember that the dealer has the same chance of losing as you. Don’t ask for more cards if you already have a total of 17 or more. In Blackjack, it is safer to be cautious than reckless. Many players follow this guide when they have multiple cards:
- Ask for cards with a value of less than 12
- Stand up on exceeding 16
- If you are 12 to 16, you should: hit cards when the dealer’s upcard is between 7 and an ace or stand when the dealer’s card is below seven
